 Teen Wolf: The Movie Debuts a Fittingly Fanged Poster

Teen Wolf: The Movie, a continuation of MTV's supernatural teen series, drops a menacing official poster ahead of its impending release on Paramount+.Teen Wolf The Movie Paramount Plus posterTeen Wolf: The Movie unveils an aptly fierce official poster as the film looks to sink its proverbial teeth into fans of the MTV supernatural series.The moody poster was released by Paramount+ in celebration of the cast's panel at the ongoing Comic Con Experience (CCXP) in Brazil. The new visual is headlined by Superman and Lois actor Tyler Hoechlin's Derek Hale screaming with his fangs in full view.

The cast of Teen Wolf: The Movie will appear at CCXP on Dec. 4 alongside actors from the upcoming spinoff starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Wolf Pack. Paramount will also present an immersive experience that recreates Beacon Hills, allowing fans to practice archery and mimic the skills of Allison Argent, played in the upcoming film by Crystal Reed. Argent's return from the dead was chronicled in a trailer for Teen Wolf: The Movie, unveiled this past October.

Teen Wolf: The Movie is based on MTV's Teen Wolf series that aired from 2011 to 2017. The supernatural teen drama series starred Tyler Posey as Scott McCall, the show's central character, as well as Hoechlin, Reed, Dylan O'Brien, Dylan Sprayberry and Holland Roden. The show revolved around McCall's life in Beacon Hills and his journey as the eponymous teenage werewolf after an alpha werewolf bites him the night before he starts his sophomore year in high school. Teen Wolf was generally received well by critics and won 13 Teen Choice Awards and multiple Saturn Awards.
Fan-Favorite Teen Wolf Characters Didn't Come Back for the MovieReturning cast members from the series include Hoechlin, Reed, Sprayberry and Roden,


 as well as Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate and Melissa Ponzio as Melissa McCall. However, main cast member Arden Cho, who played Kira Yukimura from Seasons 3 to 5, passed on the project citing pay inequality. She claimed she was offered half as much money as the other female regulars in the cast. O'Brien also skipped the Teen Wolf film, explaining that he felt the character was left in a good place at the end of the show. O'Brien's Stiles Stilinski, Scott's best friend, was a fan-favorite character throughout the series.

Teen Wolf: The Movie sees a full moon rise in Beacon Hills with evil afoot, leading to McCall, now an adult, summoning his old friends and aligning with new allies to fight off their toughest enemy yet. The film is helmed by Highlander and Resident Evil: Extinction director Russell Mulcahy while Criminal Minds scribe Jeff Davis, who also created the Teen Wolf TV series, wrote the screenplay.Teen Wolf: The Movie premieres exclusively via Paramount+ on Jan. 26, 2023.
