The second series of "Bluey" arrives on Rai Yoyo, in TV premiere, from Monday 26 December. Appointment every day at 7.35, 11.20, 16.15 and 22, as well as on RaiPlay. The very lively Australian Shepherd puppy who loves to play and who has a boundless imagination and loves to transform everyday life into hilarious adventures is back. She and her little sister Bingo want to explore the world, which often coincides with the home, using the game to overcome childhood fears and experience adult life. Bluey and Bingo especially love to get their parents involved. Their mum, Chilli, has taken up work again; the Bandit dad, on the other hand, works from home, and so they target him for their pretend games and pranks. But, although he thinks he's in charge, it's the girls who take control when it comes to playing and doing everything else!
The BBC participated in the production considering the series ideal for a shared vision: a tender and entertaining program, with recognizable family dynamics at the center involving parents and young children alike. The second series is also full of emotional components as well as humor and portrays, with precise brushstrokes, real situations in which the contemporary family easily recognizes itself. The series has received international awards and recognitions because it underlines the importance of imaginative play for a balanced intellectual, physical and emotional development of the child, but at the same time it has enjoyed real success with the public. The children have fun because in each episode the central theme is the game, while the story has such genuinely real elements that it manages to involve and entertain the whole family.
The series, conceived by Joe Brumm, has met with great success internationally and in 2020 won an International Emmy® Award in the Preschool category. Most recently, “Bluey” garnered four 2021 Kidscreen Awards (Best Animated Series, Best Direction, Best Writing, Best Music), a 2021 Rockie Award (Best Animated Program for Preschool Viewers), a 2021 ARIA Award for Best album for children, the AACTA 2021 for Best Children's Program and a nomination for Best Animated Series at the 27th Critics' Choice Awards.
