‘The Grand Tour’ Trailer: Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May Head To Scotland For ‘Lochdown’

Amazon has dropped the first full trailer for the latest The Grand Tour special, which features Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May adventuring around Scotland at the height of the coronavirus lockdown.During The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown the presenters will celebrate the great 70s American cars they saw in TV shows, as they road trip around Scotland, creating chaos on the streets of Edinburgh and building a homemade floating bridge across the Hebridean sea.

The Scottish special was filmed over 10 days last year, during which time producers spent £50,000 ($69,000) on coronavirus tests. Executive producer Andy Wilman told Deadline that the show marked a return to the team’s Top Gear roots, when UK-based shoots were a mainstay.“Scotland was tremendous. In adversity — a slight element of backs to the wall — we’ve got a really great film. If you don’t have Madagasgar or the Mekong River… it makes you work harder. We don’t leave as much to chance, you set up more scenes and that is like going back to the old days,” he explained.

The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown premieres July 30 on Amazon Prime Video. Check out the trailer above.
